Writings On The Walls

Spencer John arrived Christmas night at 11:12pm. He was 7 pounds 10.5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. He came out with the cord wrapped around his neck twice but was still screaming. We think the cord wrapped during delivery and no harm was done. I have never understood watching all the birthing shows how women could go from complete pain and screaming to euphoria... until I experienced it myself. As soon as the midwife placed him on my chest my heart melted. The amount of love I have for my son grows every day. I am constantly praying that I can be the best mom to Spencer. He is just an angel.
The entire birth experience was amazing. I had Joel by my side the whole 47 hours of labor. He was there to help me breath, remind me to relax through contractions, and do counter pressure on my hips and back. He was an amazing coach. I feel like we've grown closer as a couple through this experience.
What a blessing! I will be THAT parent that posts pictures of my baby alot but I don't care. I am so proud to be his mom!
