Writings On The Walls

We've been loving every moment of being new parents. It's amazing that he's only been with us for 12 days. I feel like I've always loved Spencer.
I had my first melt down last night with him. I wasn't able to get him to stop crying. I fed him, bounced him, burped him, walked around with him. Finally Joel came up to our room, I stood there crying saying I don't know how to make him stop crying. Joel took him for a couple hours to let me sleep. It's so nice to have such a great husband that is so hands on.
Being a parent for such a short time has made me realize so many things about my life. I am truly blessed by my family. Joel is such an amazing husband. He loves Spencer to pieces (as does the rest of my family!) We can't get enough kisses in during the day!!
It also makes me realize how big of a responsibility being a parent is. I already think about the way we want to raise Spencer. We want the best for him. We have so many prayers and hopes for him. This is an experience that will continue to keep me drawing closer to God and searching for His way to raise my son.
Lots of responsibility and ups and downs but so worth it! He is such a blessing in our life.
