Too Bright to see Too Loud to hear

I'm going to state the obvious: UNDEROATH IS INCREDIBLEY AMAZING... Duh right? Last night my dad, Joel and I ventured into San Francisco to see Underoath with Saosin, and The Devil Wears Prada. Due to traffic issues and the fact I had to stop because my bladder was about to burst we missed The Devil Wears Prada... We were bummed about that but of course Underoath made up for it a million times over.
Saosin was pretty good...I hadn't seen them before. Orange County band :) Seemed like the crowd enjoyed them even though their set was pretty short.
Underoath came on and started with Breathing in a New Mentality (the first song off their new album) The crowd went nuts. Two circle pits developed smashing us in the middle of them. The perks about being in a circle pit is you can see the stage quite nicely. A negative to that is being punched in the back of the head. Not fun. The show went on for about an hour and a half. Towards the end of the show, Spencer Chamberlain shared some personal stuff and it was awesome. He spoke of how he would not be here had it not been for the grace of God and his forgiveness. He said he and the band were no where near perfect and didn't have life figured out but they had a hope in Jesus. He went on to say he wasn't there to change peoples ways he just wanted to share what was going on with them...
They came back and played Too Bright to See Too Loud to Hear. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. Check out these lyrics:

It was amazing to see this crowd go from pit circles, donkey kicks and hysterical punches to worship. That was awesome. It shows God meets us where we are and it doesn't need to look like a certain way to worship.
Go see Underoath! It's worth the sweat and punches! :)
