Music of the Night
5:42 PM Edit This 0 Comments »Joel and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary on the 30th. Thank you for the applause...
So Thursday (new years day) we drove over to San Francisco... picking up some black shoes for Joel since he forgot them here and needed some for the play. We checked into the Hotel Monaco
That was a really fun hotel to stay in... You can bring your pet with you and if you dont have a pet, you can get a complimentary goldfish! I do not make this up!! The rooms were cute and vibrant in color! You know it's awesome when you have a phone in the bathroom!!
That evening we went over to see Phantom of the Opera...
It was amazing!!! I would recommend it to anyone... The music and the singing were unbelieveable! Joel enjoyed it a lot too... We had some interesting people sitting around us (go figure right?!) Next to me was a bear couple (big burley gay men) they were hugging and kissing throughout the play... a few rows in front of us was this man who thought he was God's gift to everyone... singing along to the music until people aroudn him started sushing him... :) ha ha...Joel was dealing with a sore throat but we kept shoveling cough drops down his throat and musinex... it seemed to do that trick :)
Friday we got up and walked over to the shopping district... the mall there would put South Coast to shame! it was HUGE! I have never seen a mall this large ever! We ended up over at Forever 21 and both getting pea coat jackets :) Of course you can't go to San Francisco without a bread bowl!! They are always so delicious!!
After that we drove over to the national cemetary and saw my grandpa's memorial marker. That was really neat to see :)
We drove through Haight and Ashbury... as soon as we got to Haight street it smelled like pot... a stereotype come true :)
Friday evening we went across the street from our hotel to a place called Max's and had dinner! Slightly pricey but delicious!! Joel had steak and I had a chicken melt sandwhich... we had these stuffed mushrooms that were amazing!!
Saturday we went over to Golden Gate Park and walked around the Japanese tea gardens... We got some green tea and crackers and people watched for a little bit... :)
All in all it was a great weekend!
